We are currently looking for an energetic, self-starter with a positive attitude that enjoys variety in work days. Candidate must not be afraid of heights, must not care to work outside in unfavorable weather, must be adventurous, mechanically inclined, results-driven, have a willingness to lend a hand, have strong communication skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
We are a busy, well-established sign company with over 40 years of experience. Since 1971, we design, manufacture and install a wide assortment of signs and graphics using state of the art digital print technology. Our products include large banners, event and meeting signs, trade show graphics and displays, vehicle wraps, wall graphics and murals, floor and window graphics, permanent storefront signs and much more. Our clients are a cross section of the small business and corporate community which includes both large and small businesses and organizations on a local and national level.
The field service technician I position is responsible for aiding our senior field technicians in the hands-on installation of signage to include adhesive vinyl graphics, banners, rigid panel signs wide format digital print graphics on windows and walls both in-house and at customer locations throughout Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and other national locations we service. When not assisting on sign installs, this role is expected to help maintain our multiple shop areas that will include organization of tools, general clean-up duties, loading and unloading of build material and service trucks before and after installs. This individual is expected to maintain a daily log of activity and assist in other areas outside of production as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to operate light hand tools, drills, and saws.
Demonstrated ability to install wide format vinyl prints on windows, walls and vehicles (training available if no experience present).
Demonstrated ability to install in-ground, post and panel site signs into soil, asphalt, and concrete.
Ability to use Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills.
Demonstrated ability to install wall mounted and hanging sign panels.
Ability to safely lift, move or carry objects weighing 50 lbs without the assistance of others.
This position requires a minimum of two (2) years of light construction experience during which the knowledge, skills, and abilities are applicable to the position were demonstrated
Position requires a High School Degree or GED
Understanding of basic vehicle maintenance a plus
Proven ability to take ownership of the job
Must not be afraid of heights, and okay to work in varying weather conditions
Must be able to climb up and down ladders
This position requires a valid drivers license with no major violations
